• Day 1 – Individual arrival in Linz
  Your cycle holiday starts in Linz, Austria. Check-in in your hotel and you receive your travel documents. Enjoy a stroll through the beautiful old town of Linz and take your time to visit one of Linz’ modern museum. Example of hotel: Hotel am Domplatz **** in Linz
• Day 2 – From Linz to Grein, approx. 55 km
  Today’s stage of your cycle tour along the River Danube leads through shady riparian forests. Finally you change not only the Danube but also the landscape. Fruit orchards with gnarled trees now dominate the scenery along the cycle path. Example of hotel: Hotel Aumühle**** in Grein
• Day 3 – From Grein to Dürnstein, approx. 60 km + ship ride Melk-Spitz
  Today your bike tour takes you to the lovely river landscape of the Wachau valley, which has been an UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000. The gate of the Wachau valley is the imposing Melk Abbey, which towers high above the Danube. On board the Danube ship you glide past the surrounding vineyards at a leisurely pace. Before you tackle the last part of the bike tour, a short tour through the charming wine growing village of Spitz is recommended. Example of hotel: Hotel Schloss Dürnstein***** in Dürnstein
• Day 4 – From Dürnstein to Vienna, approx. 50 km + train ride Tulln–Vienna
  After an enjoyable bike tour to Tulln you take the train to Vienna. Feel the imperial flair of the magnificent Ringstraße, visit Palace Schönbrunn and enjoy the great variety of sight of this splendid city. Example of hotel: Steigenberger Hotel Herrenhof****s in Vienna
• Day 5 – Return transfer to Linz or extra nights
  Return from your cycle holiday along River Danube’s cycle path to Linz with the train.

Parking possibilities during your cycle holiday along the Danube cycle path:

In Passau a carpark for your car during your cycle tour is at a parking garage.
Locked and covered parking garage: € 9,-/day
Parking garage with E-connection: € 10,-/day plus € 20,- charging fee
Locked but outdoor on a parking ground: € 6,-/day
(This carpark must be reserved prior your arrival of your cycling tour, payable on the spot)

Security for your booking

As a tour operator, the safety, well-being and health of our customers are top priorities for us. We are constantly monitoring the current situation and are in close contact with official authorities. In the event of travel changes, we will inform you immediately. If an official travel warning is issued on your arrival date for your destination or your home town, you can of course cancel your trip free of charge or change your booking to another date.

Note for people with limited mobility

The cycle tour is not suitable for people with limited mobility. However, in specific cases it is possible to accommodate individual customer requests (e.g. barrier-free room).

Passport and visa requirements

To check in to your hotel you will need a valid passport or ID card.
For citizens of countries outside the Schengen area other regulations may apply. You are responsible for obtaining any visa you may require in good time.

Terms and Conditions of Payment:

The deposit of 10% of the tour price is due at the latest 14 days after receipt of the booking confirmation. The balance must be paid 14 days before arrival.

Cancellation Policy:

According to our General Terms and Conditions, the customer may withdraw from the contract at any time in writing. In the event of cancellation or non-commencement of travel, the following cancellation fees will become payable:
50% of the tour price from 28th to 8th day before arrival date
70% of the tour price from 7th to 4th day before arrival date
90% of the tour price from 3rd day before arrival date to the day of arrival

If the customer makes changes to the booking (date of travel, tour, duration, transfer of the booking to another person etc.) up to 28 days before departure, for reasons which are outside our control, we will charge a processing fee of € 50,- per booking. After this date, the cancellation policy will apply. Such changes to a booking may only be made in individual cases and if possible; the customer has no right to any changes.

In case of a booking your announced data will be only used from https://cycle-danube.com/ for the process of bookings and related transactions and will be passed on only in the context of the contractual relationship to third parties. The combination of travel services offered to you is a package within the meaning of Directive (EU) 2015/2302.
This ensures that you will benefit from all EU rights applicable to packages.
Company https://cycle-danube.com/ will be fully responsible for the proper performance of the package as a whole.

Additionally, as required by law, the company cycle-danube.com has protection in place to refund your payments and, where transport is included in the package, to ensure your repatriation in the event that it becomes insolvent.
