• Day 1 – Individual arrival in Linz
  You start the wine tour along the Danube Cycle Path in Linz on the Danube. Stroll leisurely through the historic old town up to the Castle of Linz. The Danube and the Urfahr district are at your feet. A visit of a coffeehouse with a piece of Linzer Torte is the perfect way to end the tour. Example of hotel: Hotel Prielmayerhof**** in Linz
• Day 2 – From Linz to Ardagger in the Mostviertel, approx. 55 km
  The first stage on the Danube Cycle Path takes you to the Mostviertel. Orchard meadows line the path of the cycle tour in Lower Austria. The fruit of the region is processed into wonderfully sparkling fruit wine – better known as must in Austria. Tip: A visit of the MostBirnHaus tells the story of processing to tasting in an entertaining way. Example of hotel: Hotel-Gasthof Schiffsmeisterhaus *** in Ardagger
• Day 3 – From Ardagger to Melk in the Wachau Valley, approx. 40 km
  Through the wild Strudengau region you cycle along the Danube cycle path, always following the river until you reach the world-famous wine-growing region of Wachau. The hotel has a cosy wine tasting in store for you. A first taste of Grüner Veltliner and Riesling will make your palate rejoice. Example of hotel: Hotel zur Post**** in Melk
• Day 4 – From Melk to the city of wine Krems, approx. 40 km
  On your cycling holiday in Austria you will cycle through the famous wine-growing villages of Spitz, Weißenkirchen, Dürnstein to Krems. Today, a very special experience awaits you – a fun picnic in the vineyard, stocked with regional delicacies. The wine tour along the Danube ends today with a visit of the wine experience world ‘Sandgrube 13 wein.sinn’ in Krems. Example of hotel: Wein & Wohnen at family Rethaler
• Day 5 – From Krems to the “wine capital city” Vienna, approx. 45 km
  Today you cycle along the Danube from the wine-growing region of Kremstal to the garden city of Tulln. You will reach Vienna by train. The Austrian capital is itself a wine-growing city with over 600 hectares of vineyards. Tip: Finish your wine cycling tour in Austria at a rustic Viennese wine tavern. • Day 6 – Return transfer to Linz or extra nights
  Return from your cycle holiday along River Danube’s cycle path to Linz with the train.
