• Day 1 – Individual arrival in Linz
  Welcome on your cycling holidays in Linz, check-in and handover of your travel documents for your bike tour, rest of the day is at leisure. Enjoy up on Pöstlingberg the world of the fairy tales with the dwarf a great adventure for visitors of every age. Example of hotel: Hotel Prielmayerhof**** in Linz
• Day 2 – From Linz to Mitterkirchen / surrounding, approx. 40 km
  After a delicious breakfast start in direction of Mitterkirchen. Your first highlight of your cycle route awaits you in the Celtic Village an exhibition of houses, where the people’s life is shown, who lived approx. 2700 years ago during the Hallstatt period. Welcome at a lovely farmhouse for today’s overnight! Example of farmhouse: Radlerbauernhof Moser in Mitterkirchen
• Day 3 – From Mitterkirchen to Persenbeug/surroundings, approx. 40 km
  Today enjoy cycling to the picturesque baroque town of Grein. Visit Austria’s oldest town theatre. Fancy an ice cream? The selection of ice-cream flavor at Schörgi’s ice-parlor is great. Continue your bike tour to Persenbeug today’s final destination. Tip: Well-worth visiting is the water-sport paradise “Ardagger” by fair weather. Example of inn: Kerndlerhof *** in Sarling
• Day 4 – From Persenbeug / surroundings to Wachau Valley, approx. 50 km
  Via Pöchlarn to Persenbeug you cycle after a few kilometers through the world famous Wachau Valley. Admire already from a distance the magnificent Benedictine Monastery Melk, before your bike tour continues through vineyards to Spitz, situated on the foot of Mt. 1000-Eimer. • Day 5 – Day at leisure in the Wachau Valley
  Today spend an enjoyable day in the lovely hotel garden, while your children have fun in the pool. We recommend visiting one of the local wine-cellars and watching the wine-growers at work, another great day of your cycling holidays. Example of inn: Gasthof-Hotel zur Wachau*** in Mitterarnsdorf
• Day 6 – From Wachau Valley to Tulln, approx. 20 km by boat, approx. 40 km by bike
  Enjoy during today’s bike tour the great view onto gently vineyard hills on the left and right riverside, while you are on board a Danube ship going past well-known villages, such as Weißenkirchen und Dürnstein, before arriving in Krems. High up the hills fortresses from a long past time can be imagined while cycling to Tulln. Example of hotel: Diamond City**** in Tulln
• Day 7 – From Tulln to Vienna, approx. 35 km
  Today, on your last day cycling it is not far until you reach the Danube metropolis Vienna, where a great variety of sights await you. Do not miss visiting the fun park “Prater”, enjoying a ride on the famous Giant Ferris Wheels. Example of hotel: Hotel Beim Theresianum*** in Wien
• Day 8 – Individual departure or extra nights

Parking possibilities during your cycle holiday along the Danube cycle path:

In Passau a carpark for your car during your cycle tour is at a parking garage.
Locked and covered parking garage: € 9,-/day
Parking garage with E-connection: € 10,-/day plus € 20,- charging fee
Locked but outdoor on a parking ground: € 6,-/day
(This carpark must be reserved prior your arrival of your cycling tour, payable on the spot)

Security for your booking

As a tour operator, the safety, well-being and health of our customers are top priorities for us. We are constantly monitoring the current situation and are in close contact with official authorities. In the event of travel changes, we will inform you immediately. If an official travel warning is issued on your arrival date for your destination or your home town, you can of course cancel your trip free of charge or change your booking to another date.

Note for people with limited mobility

The cycle tour is not suitable for people with limited mobility. However, in specific cases it is possible to accommodate individual customer requests (e.g. barrier-free room).

Passport and visa requirements

To check in to your hotel you will need a valid passport or ID card.
For citizens of countries outside the Schengen area other regulations may apply. You are responsible for obtaining any visa you may require in good time.

Terms and Conditions of Payment:

The deposit of 10% of the tour price is due at the latest 14 days after receipt of the booking confirmation. The balance must be paid 14 days before arrival.

Cancellation Policy:

According to our General Terms and Conditions, the customer may withdraw from the contract at any time in writing. In the event of cancellation or non-commencement of travel, the following cancellation fees will become payable:
50% of the tour price from 28th to 8th day before arrival date
70% of the tour price from 7th to 4th day before arrival date
90% of the tour price from 3rd day before arrival date to the day of arrival

If the customer makes changes to the booking (date of travel, tour, duration, transfer of the booking to another person etc.) up to 28 days before departure, for reasons which are outside our control, we will charge a processing fee of € 50,- per booking. After this date, the cancellation policy will apply. Such changes to a booking may only be made in individual cases and if possible; the customer has no right to any changes.

In case of a booking your announced data will be only used from https://cycle-danube.com/ for the process of bookings and related transactions and will be passed on only in the context of the contractual relationship to third parties. The combination of travel services offered to you is a package within the meaning of Directive (EU) 2015/2302.
This ensures that you will benefit from all EU rights applicable to packages.
Company https://cycle-danube.com/ will be fully responsible for the proper performance of the package as a whole.

Additionally, as required by law, the company cycle-danube.com has protection in place to refund your payments and, where transport is included in the package, to ensure your repatriation in the event that it becomes insolvent.
