Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival in Schärding / Passau
Stroll through the baroque town of Schärding and its famous "Silberzeile", or explore Passau's "New Centre" in the town of three rivers.
Day 2
Schärding / Passau → Schlögener Schlinge ≈ 35–55 km
Cycle along the Inn to Passau (if starting in Schärding), then follow the Danube through the upper valley via Engelhartszell. Experience the dramatic river bend and cross by ferry to your hotel.
Day 3
Schlögener Schlinge → Linz ≈ 45–55 km
Ride through the green Eferdinger basin via market towns such as Aschach, Ottensheim and Wilhering to Linz. Enjoy the old town, viewpoints and riverside park areas.
Day 4
Linz → Wallsee / Ardagger ≈ 50–65 km
Detour to St. Florian (Augustinian monastery) and continue to Enns, Austria's oldest town, before reaching today's destination.
Day 5
Wallsee / Ardagger → Marbach / Maria Taferl ≈ 40–55 km
Cycle to Grein (baroque town) with options for theatre, museum or Greinburg Castle. From Maria Taferl, enjoy sweeping views over the Danube.
Day 6
Marbach / Maria Taferl → Wachau ≈ 35–55 km
Pass Melk Abbey and enter the Wachau landscape of orchards and vineyards. Today includes a wine tasting.
Day 7
Rest Day in the Wachau
Relax and explore wine villages like Spitz, Weißenkirchen and/or Dürnstein at your own pace.
Day 8
Wachau → Tulln ≈ 45–65 km
Continue downstream towards Tulln, a green riverside town, with plenty of time for stops and short walks.
Day 9
Tulln → Vienna ≈ 35 km
A relaxed ride into Vienna. Enjoy cafés, shopping streets, the cathedral, and classic city sights.
Day 10
Departure or Extension
End of tour. Optional extra nights can be arranged.
