Terms & Conditions + Cancellation Policy

Terms & Conditions + Cancellation Policy

1) Who operates the tours (Responsibility and liability)
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, tours offered on this website are organized and operated locally by an independent local tour operator (“Local Operator”).

Cycle-Danube.com acts as a travel agency and booking channel. We assist with trip selection, manage the booking flow, collect and process customer information, and support customer communication.

All on the ground tour operations and related responsibilities, including route planning, accommodation contracting, bike provision and maintenance, luggage transfers, local logistics, and delivery of travel services, are performed by the Local Operator, who is the tour operator of the trip.

Accordingly, the Local Operator is responsible for the proper performance of the travel services included in the booked tour, subject to the Local Operator terms and applicable law.

2) Disclosure of Local Operator details
The specific Local Operator may vary depending on the selected tour type, date, availability, and operational assignment.

Full Local Operator company details and direct contact information will be provided after the booking is confirmed in writing and the booking is matched to the actual operating Local Operator for the selected tour.

3) Prices and changes
Prices shown on this website and in any related materials are official gross selling prices as provided by the applicable Local Operator.

The Local Operator reserves the right to change prices and services and to correct errors, including typographical or pricing mistakes, prior to booking confirmation.

4) Commission (internal)
Any commission arrangements are agreed between Cycle-Danube.com and the Local Operator and do not constitute a customer discount.

Commission rules, if applicable, depend on the operator and tour, and may apply to base tour price, single room supplement, and additional nights, and may not apply to extras such as half board, bike rental, or transfers.

5) Booking procedure (On request) and travel documents
All bookings are made on request and become binding only after written confirmation by the Local Operator.

Bookings can be submitted by email with the required booking data, including tour name and code, date, room types, meal plan if relevant, special requests, and full participant names.
Typically 3 to 6 weeks prior to departure, digital travel documents and the hotel list are provided for forwarding to the customer.
Where printed materials apply, they may be provided at the arrival location, subject to tour and operator practice.

Handling Fee (Cycle-Danube.com)
For each booked tour, Cycle-Danube.com may charge a handling fee to help cover financial and operational costs associated with processing and supporting the booking. Examples include payment processing fees, currency conversion costs, banking fees, fraud prevention, accounting and administration, and customer support.
The handling fee, if applicable, will be clearly shown before payment or confirmation in the quote, invoice, checkout, or booking confirmation.
Handling fee may be charged per booking and will be displayed before payment.
The handling fee is a separate agency and processing charge and is independent from the Local Operator’s tour price and cancellation fees. Unless stated otherwise in writing, the handling fee is non refundable once the booking has been confirmed.

In case of misuse or illegal use, the Local Operator reserves the right to claim compensation.

11) Transfer of information and traveller data

Cycle-Danube.com will pass on to the Local Operator without undue delay any information relevant for tour delivery that travellers provide to Cycle-Danube.com.

12) Payment terms
Payment is made via Cycle-Danube.com, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Cycle-Danube.com may collect payments as a booking and processing channel on behalf of the Local Operator and applicable suppliers.

Changes by Local Operator
The Local Operator may make reasonable changes to the tour arrangements where required for operational reasons, safety, weather, availability, or supplier constraints.

This may include changes to accommodations, routing, daily stages, start or end points, luggage logistics, or included services. Where accommodation changes occur, the Local Operator will aim to provide an alternative of a similar category and standard, subject to availability.

Cycle-Danube.com will communicate such changes where we are informed by the Local Operator, but the Local Operator remains responsible for the operation and performance of the travel services.

Limitation of Liability (Cycle-Danube.com)
Cycle-Danube.com is not the tour operator and does not perform the travel services itself. We act as a booking and customer support channel.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cycle-Danube.com is not liable for the acts, omissions, or performance of the Local Operator or third party suppliers, such as hotels or transport providers, except where such liability cannot be excluded by applicable law.

Any claims relating to the delivery, quality, safety, or performance of the travel services are primarily the responsibility of the Local Operator, subject to the Local Operator terms and applicable law.
